Privacy policy
Protecting your privacy and your personal data when using my website is important to me. Therefore, I adhere strictly to the rules of data protection legislation. In the following I explain what information I collect when you visit my website and how I use this information, if at all.
Personal data
Personal data relates to individual details about personal or material situations of a defined or definable natural person (e.g. your proper name, your address, your telephone number, your date of birth).
Server log files
When you visit my pages, for system security purposes, the following data are stored as standard:
– the connection data of the enquiring computer
– the pages you visit on my website
– the date and duration of the visit
– the data identifying the browser and operating system used
– the website from which you have accessed my website
Failed or rejected access attempts (z.B. due to password protection) are also logged.
The log files of the host name, i.e. IP address of the client, from where my website is accessed are anonymised for data protection reasons. No conclusions are made regarding the data subject when using the web server log data. GDPR art. 6 (1) 1 (f) is the legal basis for this.
Log files are stored for 42 days, error log files for 5 days. The data are deleted automatically.
The handling of personal data
Personal data are only stored when you provide me with such data yourself, e.g. within the scope of a contact form or by e-mail. Such data are transmitted across the Internet in encrypted form.
I only use the personal data that you provide via my website or by e-mail (e.g. your name, postal address or e-mail address) in order to correspond with you or for the purpose for which you have provided me with your data.

Further cookies may be set by WordPress (and this website is written with WordPress), but some only when you are logged in. Some WordPress plug-ins might also use cookies. Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in exactly the same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. Those websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking and monitor your interaction with that embedded content.
If you are concerned about this issue, use one of the cookie checker websites to find out which cookies, if any, are being used on this website and/or set your browser to reject cookies (which might, however, upset the functionality of some parts of this website) and/or check out the information on cookies available at many sites on the Internet.
